The Statement of the NGO RCT/Empathy

The Statement of the NGO RCT/Empathy on the Fact of Illegal Deprivation of Liberty and Alleged Violent Death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia by the Occupational Regime.

The centre “Empathy” will defend rights of the deceased in suspicious circumstances, detained on the occupied territory of Abkhazia, Irakli Kvaratskhelia, as well as the forensic medical expert of the RCT/Empathy will be involved in the expertise. The case will be supervised by the director of the RCT/Empathy, international expert, Dr. Mariam Jishkariani. Regarding this the centre Empathy applied to the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Also, the centre “Empathy” will apply to the European Court of Human Rights, as appropriate.
