RCT/EMPATHY’s Experts Court Testimony on Case of Unlawful Death of Mr. Archil Tatunashvili at the Occupied Tskhinvali Region

The forensic experts of the RCT/EMPATHY on January 24, 2019 will give Court Testimony on forensic evidences on Case of Mr. Archil Tatunashvili that on February was tortured and killed in Tskhinvali Prison (Georgian region occupied by Russian Federation). This Case was submitted in European Court of Human Rights vs. Russian Federation on August 22, 2018.

The RCT/EMPATHY is only NGO in the region of Caucasus that provides holistic services for direct victims of torture and ill – treatment since 1996, including medical, mental/psychological and social rehabilitation, as well as forensic and legal assistance. First time in the region the combination of two UN Guidelines: The Istanbul Protocol and The Minnesota Protocol, were used for complex forensic expertise hold by the RCT/EMPATHY on unlawful death of Mr. A.T.
