February 2012 The President of the RCT/EMPATHY Dr. Mariam Jishkariani participated in the International Conference: to Enhance the Use of Forensic Evidence to Expose Torture, Hold in the American University Washington College of Law, February 15 – 16, 2012. The Presentation “Case Study: Juvenile Offender with Disability – Victim of Torture” was made during this Conference Session 2 Good practice examples on the use of forensic documentation – Parallel sessions, as well.
The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims, and the American University Washington College of Law were jointly organized a conference on Forensic Documentation of Torture, hold in Washington D.C. on 15 – 16 February 2012.
The conference concludes a 3-year global project of the IRCT on forensic documentation aimed at strengthening the collaboration of practitioners in the use of medical expertise in strategic litigation cases and the fight against torture. See more information on
