The Press –Release of The Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of Torture RCT/Empathy on the case won in the European Court of Human Rights:
Gablishvili and others v Georgia
On February 21, 2019 on the web-page of the European Court of Human Rights was published court ruling on the case Gablishvili and others v Georgia https://www.echr.coe.int/Pages/home.aspx?p=home. By this decision the court found a violation of article 34 (Protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms). The case concerned the fact of inhuman treatment from the side of prison staff and that the relevant authorities were unable to conduct an effective investigation in this direction.
From the side of the RCT/Empathy their legal representative was the lawyer of the center Mr. Besarion Bochorishvili.
