The special Syllabus on Consequences of torture and documentation according to the Istanbul protocol in year 2009 was in the curricula of psychiatry for medical faculties students in Tbilisi State Medical University and in Tbilisi state University.

2011 September 30 - The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT, Denmark, Copenhagen) in cooperation with the Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture “Empathy” (RCT/EMPATHY, Georgia). working meeting (Workshop) on for experts of legal and medical spheres on the following issue: Legal and Forensic Medical Regulations in Context of Torture in Georgia.
2014 June 22 - 26 - Trans-Regional (Caucasus and Central Asia) Training-Seminars in the Istanbul Protocol and in aiding the identification of policing and security equipment commonly used in torture and ill- treatment. The mentioned above events will be followed with the Trans-Regional Conference “Torture, Istanbul Protocol and Fight Impunity”. Organizers of these events: The Rehabilitation Centre for Victims of Torture “Empathy” (Georgia), The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT, Denmark, Copenhagen), Physicians for Human Rights (PHR, USA), Centre for Victims of Torture (CVT, USA), Omega Research Foundation (UK), Penal Reform International (PRI). These actions and projects are sponsored by financial support of following organizations: European Union, UNVFVT, CVT (USAID, Washington), and PHR (Open Society Foundations (OSF)).
2014 November 15 - Training Center of the Ministry of Justice (Sandro Euli Street No3a) workshop on Outcomes of Torture and Rehabilitation. The workshop focused on the model of re-socialization of convicts, former convicts and persons in conflict with the law, which is broadly recognized in EU countries. workshop is organized by the center Empathy and the Crime Prevention Center of the Ministry of Justice. The workshop is supported by the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT, USA), which is funded by the USAID Head Office in Washington. The workshop is conducted within the framework of the Program of the Center Empathy “Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation of the Offenders”, funded by the European Commissions.
2015 June 1 - 5 - the PATH Workshop “Sustaining Gains and Integrating Domains” in Tbilisi at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, organized by the Centre for Victims of Torture (CVT, USA) in the framework of the International Project “Partners in Trauma Healing (PATH)” funded by the USAID, Washington. The RCT/EMPATHY was the local partner in Georgia co – organizing this event. the framework of this action more than 60 participants from 8 Countries participated. Professionals from Torture Victims Rehabilitation Centres from South Africa, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia were trained during this workshop by the USA experts from Centre for Victims of Torture (CVT) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH).
2015 June 30 - July 1 - training – Workshop on the Istanbul Protocol. Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims “Empathy” with local partner in Armenia Foundation against Violation of Law (FAVL). The event will take place from June 30 to July 1 at the The Sign Hotel Yerevan, Grigor Lusavorich Street 4/2, 0010 Yerevan, Armenia. The event is co – organized by The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT, Denmark, Copenhagen) and the Centre for Victims of Torture (CVT, USA).

2016 July 23 - 24 - the Training-Seminar: “The Istanbul Protocol – Instrument for Fight Impunity”, for the conflict affected health professionals and experts, in Anaklia– para military region of Georgia, in the Hotel “Palm Beach”.
